Chicken Fricassee Pie (GF)
A cozy juicy golden brown French Chicken stew made with sautéed chicken with apple pieces in a creamy white sauce. The white sauce is cooked with sautéed mushroom, onion, Brandy, apple cider, garlic and herbs. The tasty filling with savory chicken and sweet apple is packed in a home made gluten free pie shell and topped herbed mashed potatoes.
Note: This whole pie requires ordering at least 48 hours to be pick-up at our Granville Island location.
Ingredients: Chicken breast, chicken thigh, mushroom, potato, apple, onion, red pepper, white wine, bay leaves, capers, lemon, cream, GF flour, apple cider, fresh thyme and tarragon.
Baking Instructions:
- For Fresh Raw Pies: Bake at 420 F degrees for 10 minutes first and then at 375 F degrees for another 40 minutes or until golden brown
- For Frozen Raw Pies: Bake from frozen at 420 F degrees for 10 minutes and then at 375 F degrees for another 50 to 60 minutes or until golden brown
Reheating Instructions:
- Oven: Bake at 250 F degrees for 20 minutes or until the middle of the pie is warm and the top crust is crispy.
